1993

Prism is born. The name reflects the founders’ objective: to help clients turn small ideas into large businesses, like a ray of light projected through a prism.

1994

Prism launches the first ever Visa credit card in the Caribbean for Mutual Bank of the Caribbean.

Prism launches the first ever dual-currency credit card in the Caribbean with CIBC (before one was even available in Canada).

Prism equips Cave Shepherd’s point-of-sale equipment for Visa/ MasterCard transaction processing.

1995

Prism brings together B-Link, three co-operating commercial banks in Barbados.

B-Link led to the formation of Carifs, the automated debit/ credit card switch operator that now serves customers of 5 banks. The network links over 100 automated banking machines and 3,500 point-of-sale terminals throughout Barbados. This network, still managed under contract by Prism today, registers over 4 million transactions every year.

1996

Prism launches one of the world’s first internet grocery shopping sites with SuperCentre, Barbados’ largest supermarket chain.

1998

Working with Shell, Prism conceptualised, developed and launched the Caribbean’s first ever Fleet Card.

Prism implements a fully functional operating hub in Jamaica for CariCard to provide debit acquiring services for Scotiabank. This centre integrates with the Jamaica National Debit switch, Multilink. Today, this centre processes the majority of debit transactions in Jamaica.

2000

Prism is the first to introduce online Fleet Card services for Texaco in Jamaica.

Prism introduces electronic loyalty to the Caribbean through the Magna Rewards Card. Initially, the project is completed on behalf of the Barbados Shipping and Trading (BS&T) Group of Companies in the Barbados market.

 

2002

Magna Rewards expands its operations into Trinidad and Jamaica, introducing the first coalition programme in these regions.

2003

Prism launches its first outsourced frequent flyer loyalty programme on behalf of a regional airline. This development resulted in the expansion of the Call Centre services operations to facilitate a more specialised portfolio.

2005

Prism acquires a majority share in Trinidad and Tobago Streamline Solutions Mailing Limited (TTSML) in a move designed to broaden its service offering to our target client sectors. TTSML offers mailing services and also represents PFE, the world leader in mailroom insertion equipment, throughout the Caribbean.

TTSML now represents Neopost who acquired PFE in 2009.

2006

Prism acquires Secure Data Management Limited in Barbados, a company specialising in the provision of electronic document management services.

2007

Prism acquires Medicard, a Trinidad and Tobago based discount card programme operator.

Prism expands the Secure Data Management brand to the Trinidad market and wins a 2 year contract to convert a major insurance company’s paperback file to electronic format.

2008

Prism launches Streamline, a Mailing Services Company in Barbados & Jamaica, to leverage the wealth of experience and strong relationships that TTMS has developed.

2010

TTSML is officially rebranded Streamline Solutions Mailing Limited and the regional brand Streamline is now represented in all territories.

Prism also launches Stronghold Data Solutions in Jamaica providing records management for companies in the Caribbean.

2011

Prism officially launches a new subsidiary, Spectrum Loyalty Solutions, providing quality loyalty management solutions and consulting plus data services throughout the Caribbean.

2012

Stronghold Data Solutions in Jamaica acquires Archway Caribbean located in the North of Jamaica expanding its geographical coverage within its territory.

2014

Stronghold Data Solutions expands into Barbados and the Bahamas.

2015

Prism enters strategic partnership with Digicel Group, aiming to grow the business and expand the range of products and services.

2016

Paymaster, Jamaica's 1st multi-payment agency joined the Prism Group.

Magna Rewards partners with Paymaster in Jamaica allowing members to pay utility bills, school fees and all other payments through 175 Paymaster locations island wide.

Members can double their rewards using their Scotia Bank Magna Cards at Paymaster locations, allowing them to reap Magna Reward Points and Paymaster Loyalty Reward points on the same transaction.

2017

A new senior management team is appointed for Prism Group including new CEO, David Curneen.

Magna Rewards launches its new Instant Redemption functionality.

Prism services Cayman along with the Cayman Banks sign an agreement to implement local Clearing House services. The system went live in March 2018.

2018

Digicel MyCash launches.

Paymaster unveils their new logo.
